What effect will the excessive heating temperature of the blow molding machine have on the heating tube?
1. Performance
Decrease in heating efficiency:
When the heating temperature is too high, the heating element inside the heating tube may be locally overheated, which will cause the resistance value of the heating element to change, thereby affecting the power output of the heating tube. Generally speaking, the resistance value will increase with the increase of temperature, which makes the current of the heating tube decrease, the power decreases, and the heating efficiency decreases under the same voltage.
Excessive temperature will also change the thermal conductivity of the air or other media around the heating tube. For example, in a blow molding machine, the heating tube usually transfers heat to the preform by radiation and convection. If the temperature is too high, the thermal conductivity of the surrounding air may decrease, thereby hindering the transfer of heat and further reducing the heating efficiency of the heating tube.
