Designed specifically for use in catering, this high-quality heat lamp is perfect for keeping food warm on hot plates, heated counters, gantries, and serveries.
The lamp is available in both single and jacket forms, but we highly recommend this jacketed version for all catering facilities. The additional quartz glass sleeve protects the tube inside from any outside contact, splashes or debris that could normally cause hot-spotting on the light bulb and early failure.
But, more importantly, in the event of a light bulb shattering, glass shards will be prevented from falling into the food.
The Prolite 118mm 300W Infrared Jacketed Heat Lamp emits short wave infrared radiation, with 92% of its electrical output being radiation (8% light output). This radiation is what maintains heat within the food, providing consistent warmth to your dishes. The free-moving glass sleeve protects the light bulb inside and with an instant start, there are no additional warm-up costs.
This heat lamp is fitted with R7s round (7mm) caps at each end, making it easy to install and use.
