The halogen semi-gold-plated double tube usually has a filament as a heat source. When the current passes through the filament, the filament heats up and ionizes the halogen gas in the tube. The excited halogen atoms combine with the tungsten atoms evaporated from the filament to form tungsten halides. Tungsten halide decomposes in the high temperature area near the filament, and tungsten atoms are redeposited on the filament, thereby extending the service life of the filament.
